As I type these words Bruce and I are jammin out in the studio to the musical genius that was Nick Ashford. To many he is best known as half of the amazing duo Ashford and Simpson, where he, along with his wife, Valerie created the most memorable music of the 1980’s. Many don’t know that Nick Ashford and his wife and Valerie Simpson penned many of your favorite songs. Songs sung by Chaka Khan, Tammi Terrell, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye to name a few.
