Donny Hathaway’s version of “What’s Goin On” is on repeat here in the studio right now. His voice just tells us how he feels. As a child I grew up to his voice on the radio, especially during the holidays….if you know anything about the holidays then you know about his “This Christmas” song. It’s a classic.
He was a rare one, with a truly timeless voice.
