Recently my sister and I traveled to the amazing Central American country of Costa Rica to kiss sloths, get bitten by mean monkeys and take in the amazingness of it's rich cultural past. We laughed, we cried, we had our bikes stolen and got bed bug bites.

We learned how to make chocolate from scratch by the indigenous BriBri. We traveled on the River Sixoala for hours to walk bridges, play with bows and arrows and find out about herbs that grow in the wild.

We walked barefoot on beach roads in the rain, rode on buses that soon broke down and enjoyed eating loads of casado and plantain chips.  We listened to frogs croak at night and howler monkeys call in the day.

Costa Rica is truly an amazing place to visit and I hope to be back sooner than later!!
